All of the conference event locations (Elon Law School, Scuppernong Books, Blue Denim restaurant, Jerusalem Market on Elm) are either on Greene St or Elm St and are within .5 miles from the conference hotel, the Greensboro Marriott Downtown (304 N Greene St).
Conference registration is on Monday, March 26 from 8-9am in the lobby of the Elon Law School (201 N Greene St). Each day coffee, tea, granola bars, and fruit will be available on the second floor in Cemala Commons before the first session, which will begin at 9:15am.
After our first day of engaging sessions, roundtables, and workshops, please join us for our opening reception at nearby Scuppernong Books (304 S Elm St) at 4:30. Hor d’oeuvres and refreshments will be served, and wine and beer will be available for purchase.
After the reception join us for an exciting cooking demonstration and tasting at Blue Denim restaurant (217 S Elm St). Chef and owner Jody Morphis will speak to us about Vietnamese and Mexican influences on Southern cuisine, and we’ll be able to taste his signature Duck Sope dish. Wine and beer will be available for purchase. We will return to Blue Denim on Tuesday night for our conference dinner after the keynote presentation!
Lunch on Monday and Tuesday will be on your own, but in addition to the recommendations on this site under Local Eats + Sights, we will also have some suggestions and sign up sheets available during Registration for anyone interested in joining fellow conference participants for these meals. Dinner on Wednesday at Table 16 (600 S Elm St) is optional (not included in conference price), and we will have a sign up sheet available during Registration for those interested.
Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions, and we’ll see you all next week!
